Independent Consultants

J&M is also interested in reviewing resumes of individuals with specialized experience interested in working on projects on an as needed basis. These individuals will be mobilized through subcontracts and teaming agreements as needed.  J&M is seeking:

  • Supplementary staff and surge personnel with specialized skill sets in disaster/incident management and recovery who would be available for deployment for extended periods of time with little notice. 
  • Subject matter experts, utilized on a project-to-project basis, with proven expertise in J&M business area. 

Current Openings

  • Recovery Specialist: Economics (DA-Economic Recovery-2012): The Recovery Specialist (Economics) is an intermittent, on-call (travel and field work required) position requiring specialized skills to support governmental and private sector organizations in disaster recovery operations.  Economic recovery issues may include economic development, workforce development, economic analysis, community planning, business continuity, access to capital, insurance, and other common disaster recovery issues.

  • Public Assistance Specialist (PublicAssistance-201202): The Public Assistance Specialist positions are intermittent, contract, on-call (travel and field work required) positions, requiring specialized skills to support federal, state, and local recovery requirements, including debris removal, emergency protective measures, and the repair, replacement, or restoration of disaster-damaged, publicly owned facilities, such as roads, bridges, municipal buildings, fire and police stations, water/wastewater treatment plants, etc. 

  • Training and Exercise Specialist (TrainEx-2012-01): The Training and Exercise Specialist is an intermittent, contract, on-call (travel and field work required) position requiring specialized skills to support federal, state, local, and regional training and exercise requirements.  
  • Recovery Specialist (DA-Recovery-2010-05): The Recovery Specialist is an intermittent, contract, on-call (travel and field work required) position requiring specialized skills to support governmental and private sector organizations in disaster recovery operations.
